Binary star Eta Cassiopeiae photographed on 10 September 2015. Binary star systems are where two stars orbit one another. The average distance between these two stars is 71 AU (1 AU is the average distance between Earth and the Sun) and they orbit each other every 480 years. This system is located around 20 light-years away from the Sun in the constellation Cassiopeia.
