We wish him God-speed and pleasant associations. The membership of our chapter now numbers twelve, andprobably will be more in the near future. It is with pleasure that we view the general condition ofthe fraternity to-day. We are in a most excellent condition. Afew small chapters that roughed a severe storm last sessionhave pulled through, while the larger ones have so increasedtheir strength that it seems to be plain sailing for them. It isgratifying to see how much more interest is taken in generalaffairs by the chapters. The periodical letters are muchimproved, and are sent in without the old time dunning. Thechapter duties seem to be understood and carried out muchbetter than before. While the desire for proper expansion hasnot been given up, all seem to understand that the strengtheningof our present chapters is of the most importance. Alumni chapters have been started, and others are in.^ preparation, which shows tliat the ideals of Sigma Phi Epsilonare not forgotten by those who are going out from local chapterinfluence. These signs of our advance are encouraging to the Grand
