Some of the most ex-pert darners simply hold thenet loosely in their hands andcopy the design by eye floss, India flosswhich is of linen but lookslike silk, and ordinary darningflosses are all used for thiswork. Darned net is liked formany purposes, as will be ob-served by the variety of de-signs and illustrations given. but to France must be giventhe credit of introducing thedarned work by whichsome of its costliest net laceswere first made.
