The ship yards are equipped withthe most perfect of known appliancesfor the salving and repairing of damag-ed vessels. The firm owns severalwrecking steamers. The upper ship-yard at Levis has a patent shop 500 feetlong and capable of accomdating ves-sels up to 5,000 tons. The floatingdock No. 1 at St. Joseph is 236 feetlong by 54 wide and is capable of lift-ting steamers 290 feet long and of 2,175tons, while floating dock No. 2 is 180
