The movements of these birds cannot be traced. The first nests reported are from Sussex on May the 3rdand from Hampshire on May the 8th. Nesting did notbecome general until the 17th of May, and it thus seemsprobable that, as in the case of the Willow-Warbler, thoseimmigrants which arrive in the country in the middle of]\ray do not remain in the south, but pass onwards tomore northern nestiiiii-iirounds.
