The jury has been sworn in before his honour Judge Ralls QC. The defendant Billy Midmore, 23, has pleaded not guilty to causing grievous bodily harm with intent. The jury has been sworn in before his honour Judge Ralls QC. The defendant Billy Midmore, 23, has pleaded not guilty to causing grievous bodily harm with intent. He has denied any involvement in the attack that happened on the 18th September 2015 outside the Turtle Bay in Guildhall Square Southampton The victim 37 year Carla Whitlock who was left blinded whilst out with her partner Matthew Wedgner was rushed to Southampton General Hospital after the attack. The trial is expected to last seven day. The jury have been sent out so legal argument can take place for the rest of day. ©UKNIP
