I was fortunate enough to find some blocksof a Ptolemaic temple at the older Kossair, and onone of them was the name Duau, followed by thehieroglyph representing a town written twice toindicate the existence of the two ports. Not in-frequently one finds at Koptos and elsewhere shortinscriptions of this period relating to journeysmade along this route to Kossair, and thenceover the high seas.
