Originated from that favorite variety, "The ; This splendid new Snap-dragon combines the elegant, finely-cut foliage characteristic of the latter sort, with unusually large flower of a brilliant white. The latter are borne in great profusion on long and graceful flower- stalks, and thus not only does this fine new variety produce a grand effect in the open ground, but it will also furnish splendid material for the making up of bouquets. Pkt. 30 cts. Celosia Spicata argentia linearis. Coxcomb. Grows 'n an erect, pyramidal form ; they throw up a main stem about 2 1-2 feet high, bearing 20 to 30 side shoots, with fresh green linear leaves, each of which is crowned by a cylindri- cal flower spike 2 1-2 to 4 inches long. The flowers open of a fresh, bright rose tint, and the lower involucres change gradually to a silver-white, thus presenting to the eye a most charming combination of color. The elegant long-stemmed flowers preserve their beauty even in unfavorable weather, and furnish quite an elegant material for making up bou- quets, etc. ; makes also a beautiful pot plant.
