Somerset Levels floods. Farm buildings on the Somerset Levels isolated by flood waters that have submerged the surrounding agricultural land. This area, which is only metres above sea level, is former marshland that has been drained and reclaimed for agriculture. Heavy rainfall from December 2013 to February 2014 caused severe flooding in the area. Behind the tree at upper right is the King Alfred monument. Photographed in February 2014, in Athelney, Somerset, UK.
