Main waiting room, Chicago Union Station, Illinois, 1926. The Great Hall of the station, designed in Beaux Arts style by Daniel Burnham. Chicago Union Station opened in 1925, replacing an earlier station built in 1881. It is the only intercity rail terminal in Chicago.
