Skin infection. Blisters on a 6-year-old girl's arm from bullous impetigo, a superficial infection of the skin by Staphylococcus aureus bacteria. This infection is less contagious than the nonbullous form and can occur at any age. Treatment of the painful, fluid-filled blisters is with antibiotics.
