Burscough, Lancashire, UK. 24th September, 2015. Local farmers Margaret & William Wilson are busy processing their Estima potato harvest before the weather turns autumnal. Estima potatoes have a firm, light yellow flesh with earthy flavour notes, that holds its shape when cooked. Estima are ideal for recipes that require smooth potatoes such as Potato Dauphinoise/Dauphinoise Potatoes. Margaret & William are extremely proud of their produce & the quality is clear to see. {Images with land owner consent} Credit: Cernan Elias/Alamy Live News

Potato harvesters are machines that harvest potatoes. They work by lifting the potatoes from the bed using a share. Soil and crop are transferred onto a series of webs where the loose soil is sieved out. The potatoes are moved towards the back of the harvester on to a separation unit and then (on manned machines) to a picking table where a people pick out by hand the stones, clod, haulm and reject clod. The potatoes then go on to a side elevator and into a trailer or a potato box. Haith are the market leaders in the design and manufacture of bespoke root crop processing systems including Box tipplers, Pre soak tanks, bit removers, de-stoning, washing, polishing, grading and packing machines.
