To these diversifying conditions may be added many othersinvolving a large part of the field of dynamic geology. It willperhaps suffice to mention two others: the stage of erosion andthe special features related to climate. If a given intrusion hasbeen accompanied by an important amount of uplift or marginalcompression, vigorous erosion may follow, whereupon a chancewill be offered for the development of the greatest contrast in thedegree of boldness of topographic forms developed upon rocks ofunequal resistance. Ultimately these contrasts will diminish inintensity, as in the case of all regional differences of relief, withprogress toward the end of the normal cycle of erosion. If pene-planation ensue, only feeble topographic differences may mark. i-t ^ 3 g tiSt) C5 s i a> ,d ° ^ +3 O > -fj ^ >? o iH ^ O -^^ CO K-i M h g 2 -S a -*^ o Ci 0) 3 ^ o ci o o -u ? >;> ~*^ ^H g cS S, &. m c4 Cfi Jj « fH ap d S 1 a^ ^ CO o O O g^ a g g eq cs o o H
