Colchester Arts Centre, Colchester, Essex, England, UK. The tower is a great example of pre-conquest architecture and was built in the early 11th Century. It is constructed of Roman bricks and septaria taken from the ruins of the Roman city. The church became redundant in 1956 and was bought by the local council and is now a thriving arts centre.
