South coast of Iceland in early summer 2021, Landsyn statue at Strandarkirkja in Selvogur. A statue made of Norwegian granite, created by Icelandic sculptor Gunnfrídur Jónsdóttir in 1950. Landsyn means land in sight, the statue was erected in honor of the foundation of the church by sailors who returned safely to Iceland after a storm.
