The panel is divided into three compartments; in each of them is asitting figure. In one is a lady caressing a dog ; in the others two gentle-men, both carrying a hawk upon the wrist. All three have the long narrowstrips hanging from their sleeves ; and the men show also the pointed shoeof the time of Edward the Third, which was worn before the fashion camein of the exaggerated elongation beyond the foot.
