Marines of all military occupational specialties, mentored by expeditionary airfield technicians, have contributed to the construction of the parking expanse. Green, an air, rescue, firefighting specialist; Dube, an expeditionary airfield technician; and Cannella, a supply chief; are with MWSS-371. MWSS-371 is part of the aviation combat element of 2nd Marine Expeditionary Brigade, whose mission is to conduct counterinsurgency operations with a focus on training and mentoring the Afghan National Police.
