Military helicopter drone. MH-6 Little Bird helicopter equipped with the Autonomous Aerial Cargo Utility System (AACUS) taking off during an Office of Naval Research (ONR) demonstration. AACUS consists of a sensor and software package that when integrated into an aircraft enables autonomous, unmanned flight. This allows the Marine Corps to rapidly resupply forces on the front lines in all weather conditions, as an alternative to dangerous convoys, manned aircraft or air drops.
