An old 19th century sketch of Eastgate House, Rochester, UK. . it is Grade I listed Elizabethan townhouse associated with with author Charles Dickens who featured it as as Westgate in The Pickwick Papers. He also featured it as the Nun's House in The Mystery of Edwin Drood. The house has a Swiss style chalet in its grounds where Dickens wrote several of his novels. It now serves as a Dickens museum.
