Attitash Mountain Resort is a two peak, Attitash and Bear Peak, New Hampshire ski area with over 300 acres ( Plus km) total skiable area, Attitash is the second largest ski area in the state of New Hampshire in the northeastern United States, 146 miles (235 km) North of Boston, Massachusetts. The Resort was originally built as part of the federal governments Works Progress Administration (WPA) in 1938 has been operated by Vail Resorts since 2019. Attitash operates under a special use permit with the White Mountain National Forest. A single skier riding the Flying Bear a four-person (quad) chairlift to the summit of Bear Peak, 2050 feet (620 m).
