UXO Clearance, Houay Dok Kham village, Xieng Khouang province, staff use new CEIA detector, quicker to use than conventional methods, to locate and mark suspect metallic items. These marked spots will then be checked with a mine detector. The village was heavily bombed during the Vietnam war and many unexploded devices (UXO) remain in the ground making the land impossible to farm. Now MAG, the UK based mine clearance charity is working with villagers MAG has trained to clear the land.
