Swaddling bands, necessary forthe protection of an infant, are an impediment to agrowing boy. That question can perhaps be bestdecided by ascertaining the general sentiment of ourPacific States. My impression is that, with the ex-ception of the fruit-growers of California and someothers, they are strongly opposed to what they callletting
