At the Meira camp for earthquake survivors in Pakistan's Northwest Frontier Province Pashtun men sit in line to register for return kits which are to help them as they return to their villages. The Pakistan army has stated that the camps must be vacated by early April-humanitarian organizations such as UNICEF Save the Children and others are monitoring the return and providing vaccinations for children and assistance to those who need it. The Meira Tent camp (also called Mera or Maria camp) is located on the Indus River in the Battagram district. The camp the largest for displaced people in Pakistan hosts over 21 000 earthquake survivors primarily Pashtuns from the Allai valley in Pakistan's NWFP one of the areas worst-hit by the October 8 2005 earthquake.
