Brig. Gen. Heidi J. Hoyle accepts the plaque designating her as the 41st Chief of Ordnance from Maj. Gen. Paul C. Hurley Jr., commanding general, Army Combined Arms Support Command (CASCOM) and Fort Lee, during a change of command ceremony May 8 at Whittington Field on Fort Lee. Hoyle assumed command of The Army Ordnance School (ODS) as well as becoming the Army Chief of Ordnance from Brig. Gen. David Wilson. She is the first general officer from the explosive ordnance disposal community to hold the position.
