At 1 PM EDT, Hurricane Dennis' eye was about 355 miles south-southeast of Apalachicola in the Panhandle and about 460 miles southeast of Pascagoula, Mississippi (MS). It was moving northwest at about 14 mph, forecasters said. The storm's center had passed within about 125 miles west of Key West.
