He has been well and favorably known in this district since the days when he wore knickerbockers, and even earlier, for he was born in "Old Greenwich Village," a name that as a matter of sentiment, clings to one of the populous sections of Manhattan. All wish him a speedy recovery. The MacNifC Horticultural Co. has leased another building in addition to those already occupied. Chris Boehe of Castleton Corners, Staten Island, has a fine crop of car- nations which he ships to a leading wholesaler of this city. He is also propagating a large stock of plants, hydrangeas, geraniums and other bed- ding plants being noteworthy. Mr. Boehe has the sympathy of the trade on account of the serious and linger- ing illness of Mrs. Boehe. Alex S.
