Stained glass from16th century, St Denys Church, Little Compton, Warwickshire. This was brought from Villiers, France in 1918. See


A medieval stained glass window, St Denys Church, Little Compton, Warwickshire; The inscription reads; "These pieces of stained glass were found by Cpl O Mace HLI amoung the ruins of the church of Villess-Bretanneux destroyed by the Germans in the Great War in the year 1918 and were brought home and inserted here by him as a thanksgiving memorial". Oswald Mace was a glazier and clearly saw the value in the fragments.
