Aircraft maintainers from the 349th Air Mobility Wing help generate a C-5M Super Galaxy prior to departure from Travis Air Force Base, California, Aug. 17, 2021. A C-5M aircrew from the 312th Airlift Squadron flew the mission supporting the Afghanistan evacuation. The 349th AMW is providing rapid global mobility to assist the State Department in the safe evacuation of Americans and vulnerable Afghans from Afghanistan.
