On Aug. 8, Gen. Glenn M. Walters, assistant commandant of the Marine Corps, Maj. Iain Pedden, branch head, USMC Military Justice, and Ms. Melissa Cohen, director, Personnel Studies and Oversight office, provided a Task Force update to the media. Since March 2017, the ACMC Task Force has been charged with implementing changes to evolve the Corps' culture, to include addressing online misconduct. The Personnel Studies and Oversight office was established July 1, 2017, to serve as the permament organization in Quantico that will direct and guide the Corps' long term efforts to implement change.
