Abercrombie & Fitch (A & F) is an American retailer focusing on casual wear for consumers aged 18-22. The original company, an elite store for sporting and excursion goods, including expensive shot-guns, fishing rods and tents, was founded in Manhattan in 1892. Going bankrupt in 1977, 'Abercrombie & Fitch' was revived by firms buying the firm's name. The 5th Avenue flagship store was opened in 2005 alongside Prada and other upscale retailers of high-quality clothing.
