Blood:Differential count: Polymorphonuclear, 865; large mononuclear, 8;small mononuclear, 5; eosinophiles, ; red cells show pallor of centres. January 25. Blood-culture: One tube shows mixture of pneu-mococci and larger cocci, probably staphylococcus pyogenes aureus;one shows cocci resembling pneumococci.
