The 148th ASOS, a subordinate unit of the 193rd Special Operations Wing in Middletown, Pennsylvania, conducted ground operations that simulated capturing an enemy stronghold in hostile territory, while simultaneously integrating MQ-9 Reaper capabilities from the 103rd Attack Squadron, a subordinate unit of the 111th Operations Group based at Biddle Air National Guard Base in Horsham, Pennsylvania. The MQ-9 provided intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance as well as armed over watch and close air support.
