(P) Of Southern origin, claiming to be early and to stand shipping well. It has, however, not come up to our expectation. Unproducti\e on some soils, and only medium early. GANDY. Still holds its reputation as the best late berry. It requires good cultivation and rich soil. The berries are of large uniform size and shape, of bright crimson color, very handsome and showy, of good quality and very firm. HAVER LAND. (P) Exceedingly productive. Fruit is long, large, deep crimson, and handsome. Has given good satisfaction whenever planted on rich soil, with good cultivation, as a medium early berry for near inarkets. PEARL. This is a beauty.
