The diverticulum is small, ovoid, shortly stalked, glistening, and dependent, and is attached to the middle portion at its lower end, where this merges into the duct. In a specimen from Madehani the spermathecae were shorter and rela- tively thicker, as if contracted (fig. 9 b)..
