It stayed there in front of him for a few seconds and then walked away. CALIFORNIA HILARIOUS images of a mallard charging at the photographer after taking an immediate turn before landing were captured in Natural Bridges State Park, Santa Cruz, California. The duck was making an awkward landing when it spotted the photographer, Joe Moreno, and made an unexpected right turn towards him. Although it did not attack Joe, it landed in front of him ten feet away. Though shocked by the mallard’s actions, Joe still had the presence to capture these wonderful images of the bird. Joe Moreno is a 67-year-old wildlife photographer from California who frequently visits the park to photograph green herons. “By a twist of luck on this day, I decided to photograph a mallard landing because the pose it struck almost looked like it was dancing in the air,” he said. “But when it turned towards me, I was so surprised and shocked that I couldn’t move—just kept taking its pictures. “I am just glad it didn’t hit me and walked away after landing; otherwise, this pleasant experience might have taken a turn for the worse.”
