A Sailor, center, aboard the amphibious transport dock ship USS Mesa Verde (LPD 19) uses hand paddles to communicate with a replenishment station aboard the fleet replenishment oiler USNS John Lenthall (T-AO 189) during a replenishment at sea in the Mediterranean Sea March 12, 2014. The Mesa Verde was part of the Bataan Amphibious Readiness Group and was underway in the 6th Fleet area of responsibility supporting maritime security operations and theater security cooperation efforts.
