It has beenaltogether impossible for me until within these few days past, to stirfrom the One hundred years ago Henry Jolly, Esq., of Beaver andWashington counties, afterwards a judge in Jefferson County,Ohio, kept a record, from which we learn that December, 1799,was very severe cold, all the small streams being frozen February, 1800, it was very cold, with snowtwo feet deep. Thespring opened early, so that planting of Indian corn was largelyfinished by the 7th of
