London, March 14th 2015. Zimbabweans from the Zimbabwe Vigil protest group which has spent every Saturday afternoon since 2002 demonstraing outside the country's embassy in London protest for the release of democracy activist Itai Dzamara who, it is suspected, has been abducted by the country's notorious Central Intelligence Organisation (CIO). Despite a High Court Order ordering the state to actively search for Dzamara, he has still not been located. Credit: Paul Davey/Alamy Live News

Exiled Zimbabweans from the Zimbabwe Vigil group in London, who have been holding weekly protests since 2002 at the Zimbabwe embassy for the restoration of accountable democracy in Zimbabwe, demonstrate for the leader of The Occupy Africa Unity Square group, who is thought to have been kidnapped by the country's much feared Central Intelligence Organisation. Dzamara has led the protest for months and has already been subject to harassment including severe beatings and torture by the Zimbabwe Republic Police and other state security agents. His disappearance has led to protests both at home and abroad where many Zimbabweans have moved to escape the oppressive rule of the Mugabe regime and the economic hardships and unemployment that have arisen as a result of his destruction of the country's agro-industrial economy, principally through his seizure of white-owned commercial farms, but also through decades of cronyism that has seen incompetent sycophants and Mugabe's liberation war grandees rise to positions of authority.
