The Commercial Club turnished the original tundof $85,000 for technical work in organizing the plan andfor the publication of its report entitled Plan of Chicago,to be found in all public and municipal libraries. TheClub also furnished $10,000 per annum for five years torthe maintenance of a large staff of technical experts. T/ie Plan Commission.—In 1909 the Commercial Clubpresented the plan of Chicago to the city as a gitt, and, byact of the City Council, the Chicago Plan Commissionwas created to study and develop the plan.
