Airman Jordan Dalbenzio is assigned to the Command post of the 108th Contingency Response Group, with the New Jersey Air National Guard at Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst, NJ. Today, volunteers were Air Force Reserve and active duty airmen also stationed at Joint Base McGuire. The volunteers were separated into three teams. One team worked on the main Memorial Arch that honors Civil War soldiers and sailors; and the others focused on nearby gardens that surround the Memorial Arch. This is one of three volunteer events being held during Air Force Week. The New York City Parks and Recreation department historic location is administered by the Prospect Park Alliance and organizes the Prospect Park Volunteer Corps who supervised the volunteer force today.
