This is one of two Bald Eagles that visit a tree behind my house here in Virginia. This tree is dead and sits across the Shenandoah River which runs behind my property. Eagles sitting high in this tree has a great view that overlooks farmland for small animals and the river for fish. I have to stand for hours waiting, hoping they come while I am there; no matter how long I wait I find it worthwhile and relaxing. Just to be out in nature is life rewarding within its self. It is always a hit and miss waiting for them to arrive. Wildlife such as this are a joy to photograph and you have to be quick and have good equipment to get decent photos most of the time. Eagles are birds of prey. They are powerful, beautiful and majestic. I can see why they are our nations symbol. I have yet to catch one after it has caught meal.
