Bussy, whois rarely seen in Paris, and divides histime chiefly between the Riviera andScotland, has just been showing at a series of his pastels—works executed with an exquisite poeticsentiment. The technique of these pastelsis so subtle that the medium is scarcelydiscernible, and one can scarcely tellwhether they are water-colours or especial charm of Bussy is theway in which he interprets nature,it is one of Scotlands sombre lochs, or apine trees, or a view of the Esterel.
