In preparing this edition the author has not devi-ated from the plan adopted in the second edition. Itis hoped, however, that the careful revision to whichthe work has been subjected may have eliminatedmost of the errors appearing in former text has been entirely rewritten, and manysymptoms, especially clinical, have been added, whilenearly one hundred remedies, not included in thesecond edition, have been incorporated. For the sake of uniformity in the literature ofHomoeopathic Materia Medica the author haschanged the nomenclature of Actea Racemosa andCalcarea Ostrearum respectively to Cimicifuga Race-mosa and Calcarea Carbonica.
