Volcanic rock, limestone, andsandstone are the best kinds of rock touse. Dont build a rockery of granite,and dont use white limestone unlessyou are building a white rockery. Dont drop the rocks here and therein the rockery. Plant them just as youwould a shrub—at least a third of theirbulk should be under ground.
