KEY WEST, Fla. (Feb. 9, 2022) The Navy's 14th Independence-variant littoral combat ship, USS Savannah (LCS 28), pulls into Truman Harbor in Key West, Fla. Feb. 9, 2022. Savannah is the Navy's newest LCS, commissioned in Brunswick, Georgia, Feb. 5, 2022. Naval Air Station Key West is the state-of-the-art facility for combat fighter aircraft of all military services, provides world-class pierside support to and foreign naval vessels, and is the premier training center for surface and subsurface military operations.
