Jenny Land Musk Melon —Improved—This is a popu- lar early melon, and accord- ing to Dr. Harris is the best Musk Melon ever grown. It is flattened at eaclj end, ribbed and closely netted. This variety has been so much improved by selection that it would hardly be rec- ognized. My entire crop of melons the past season was grown from seed saved by Dr. Harris', who is consider- \ ed the best authority on melons in this country, and nothing but the best and most perfect melons for the - purpose of introducing it were saved for seed stock. Those who have ever planted Jenny Lind will be greatly surprised to find how it has • been improved. It certainly is a very hand- some melon, as shown by the engraving made f rom aspeci.
