The Ostrich is the largest living bird on earth. The have fantastic eyesight and can run up to 70km per hour. These birds are farmed mostly in the Karoo area of South Africa for their feathers which make feathered dusters, their hides are used as leather in handbag and shoe production and the meat is tender like beef.
