Cpl. K. Polk, , took this photograph of Bazoches from the north on September 9, 1918. St. Thibaut can be seen in the distance. The tree-covered nose on the right skyline represents the location where the 10th Machine Gun Battalion repelled a German counter-attack on August 6th, near the Rouen-Reims road. The photograph was taken after the Germans retreated to the Aisne.
