Hard white porcelain, glazed withthe intense brilliant blue called mazarine-blue (a phrasesupposed to be derived from Cardinal Mazarin but prob-ably a mere conventional term for a favorite color). Theblue lightens at mouth, which is rimmed with the interiorwhite glaze, and the lighter color shows as a band at glazed base with seal-characters of the reign in blue. Height, 15% inches.
