A Saxon bullet-shooting crossbow, circa 1740, Slender steel bow, the back stamped with a wheel mark, the original cords and tassels preserved. The elegant walnut tiller with a bullet track and adjustable iron sights, set trigger. The tiller decorated with intricate carvings and engraved bone plates. Several inlays missing, the front and rear sights and the butt cap of later replacements.
